Marriage Care is about to enter a period of significant and exciting change. A number of board members are coming to the end of their two, three-year terms which means that there will be four trustee vacancies to fill which include the role of Chair of Trustees and Chair of the Finance Committeealongside two general trustee positions. Traditionally, trustees have been sought from within the volunteer membership and the role of Chair in particular has been filled from within the existing board of trustees. However, the board have decided, given the skills and experience needed at this time, to widen the opportunity to all volunteers, and beyond through contacts and networks known to the membership.
Trustees must be fully committed to Marriage Care’s ethos and values, to contributing time and energy for at least a three-year term, and to working together with a team of trustees to provide good governance and support to the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team. There are particular requirements for the role of Chair detailed in the relevant role description and person specification.
Please take a moment to consider whether you have the required skills, experience and capacity to fulfil the trustee roles advertised or whether you know someone outside of Marriage Care who you think would be an ideal match.
