Professor Peter Gilbert 1st Memorial Lecture: “Spirituality, Well-Being, Compassion and Mental Health”  Thursday 21 May 1.45pm – 4.45pm, Mahatma Gandhi Hall, Indian YMCA, 41 Fitzroy Square, London  

The National Spirituality and Mental Health Forum’s first annual lecture to honour Professor Peter Gilbert, and his contribution to social and mental health, will be presented by Professor Paul Gilbert, Head of the Mental Health Research Unit and Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Derby. The afternoon will be chaired by the Venerable Arthur Hawes and there will be a question and answer session, workshops, and a plenary session. Mental Well-Being: Listening with Compassion: Saturday 6th June 2015 10am – 4pm, St Mary’s University, Twickenham, London

A day exploring themes related to mental health and the spiritual life bringing together those engaged in ministry, service-users, practitioners, researchers and specialists in the field. Guest Speakers include Professor Chris Cooke, Julia Head, Professor Geoff Hunt, Dr Pia Matthews, Bishop Richard Moth, Sr Mairead Quigley and Dr Trevor Stammers.
